When you pick up the pot and it feels "light", or you see the plant leaves drooping, water. Keep in bright INDIRECT sunlight and rotate it every other day to keep even growth patterns. Trim off dead or yellowing leaves when you see them. Trim blooms when they are spent to send energy back to the plant. Repot when the plant is root-bound (probably every two years) and only go up two pot sizes (6"=8"). Do research on any new plants you get.
